ta-C: THE CARBON COATING CLOSEST TO DIAMOND

Il carbonio allo stato puro è presente in natura solo in due stati fisici cristallini: Diamante (atomi con disposizione di legame
tetraedrico) e grafite (atomi nella disposizione di legame planare esagonale).
Il ta-C è un rivestimento sintetico di puro carbonio amorfo in cui gli atomi sono legati l’un l’altro con una disposizione tetraedrica per
l’ 80% di essi, come nel diamante puro.
Per questo motivo, tra tutti i cosiddetti rivestimenti “DLC” (Diamond Like Carbon), le proprietà fisiche del ta-C (come durezza e
coefficiente di attrito) sono quelli che più si avvicinano, a livello di caratteristiche tecniche, al diamante puro.
Pure Carbon is present in nature only in two crystalline physical states: Diamond (atoms in Tetrahedral bonding arrangement) and
graphite (atoms in Hexagonal Planar bonding arrangement).
ta-C is a synthetic state of pure Amorphous Carbon in which up to 80% of the atoms are bonded to each other with a Tetrahedral
arrangement, in the same way of pure Diamond. For this reason, among all so called “DLC” (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings, the physical
properties of ta-C (such as hardness & coefficient of friction) are the closest to pure Diamond, which is the hardest material on Earth.

Manutenzione, pulizia e tensionamento / Maintenance, cleaning and tensioning
Pulire e rilubrificare la catena dopo aver lavato la moto dopo averla utilizzata in condizioni di bagnato e/o in ambienti salati o
polverosi e prima di riporre la moto alla fine della stagione di guida (stagione invernale); Lubrificare la catena una volta all’anno;
Controllare il corretto tensionamento della catena ogni 3.000 Km.
Clean and re-lubricate the chain after washing your bike, after using your bike in wet conditions and/or in salty or dusty environments;
Before storing your bike at the end of the riding season (winter season); Re-lubricate the chain once a year; Check correct chain tensioning
every 3.000 Km.
