To better ensure the effectiveness and reliability of their brake pads, Ashima has developed an in-house machine used in the automotive industry. Here, the wheel/disc is rotated directly around its axis, and stress loads on the brake pads and discs are applied via computer-controlled pneumatic cylinders, eliminating variables found in tests conducted on complete bicycles. In addition to in-house testing, Ashima also employs field tests with professional athletes. Exustar was founded in 1993 as Exus, stemming from a special project by VP Components.
